2013 RRV PREP LAND DESCRIPTION WORKSHOP - May 16, 2013 Fargo Holiday Inn This is a “hands on” interactive course for individuals that are required to interpret land descriptions with training provided by licensed land surveyors led by Land Surveyor, David Landecker licensed in Minnesota and North Dakota. David has a rich background in land surveying with over 30 years of experience in the land subdivision area. David has also been the Crow Wing County Surveyor and is currently employed at Ulteig where he manages Ulteig’s land survey teams in Minnesota and North Dakota. David also sits as a Governor appointed Land Surveyor on the Minnesota State Board of Architects, Engineers, Land Surveyors, Land Scape Architects, Geoscience & Interior Design (AELSLAGID). Good descriptions are not easy to write or interpret as they must satisfy the land surveyor, lawyer, title insurer, adjoiners, government recording and tax entities and the owner. The objective of this workshop is to further your knowledge and understanding for interpreting land descriptions by enriching your ability to understand the basic foundational aspects, composition standards, description styles, technical definitions and types. Complicated descriptions and legal aspects are not part of this training. As part of this workshop you will be provided with a measuring scale, compass, protractor, pencil, calculator and paper to enrich your “hands on” experience.
