Basic Abstracting and Legal Descriptions

- The History of Abstracting and Land Records
- The Rectangular Survey System
- Metes and Bounds Legal Descriptions
- Plats, Auditor's Subdivisions and Registered Land Surveys
- Torrens Titles
- Names and Tax Searches
Instructors/Abstractors will be there to answer your questions as well as to assist you in drawing and following even the toughest legal descriptions! Attendees are asked to bring a pencil, notepad, eraser, and scaled ruler if they have one.

Course Fees & Registration
MLTA members $75*; Non-members $150
Fees include continental breakfast, lunch, and refreshments. A reference/workbook is also provided.
*MLTA members must be logged in to the MLTA website to receive the member rate.

Payment/Cancellation/Refund Policy
Prepayment is required. Attendees are entitled to a full refund if they cancel by Monday, November 1, 2010. Cancellations received after that date are non-refundable.
