In addition to our normal meetings, we have invited former Minnesota Governor, Arne Carlson,Wells Fargo Senior Executive, Kate Steineman, as well as VJ Smith, author of "The Richest Man in Town,” to share their knowledge and observations of our current ‘state of affairs’.

The 2016 MLTA Convention takes place at the Arrowwood Resort & Conference Center in Alexandria, MN. Arrowwood is a lakeside resort that celebrates Minnesota’s natural splendor and the lakeside lifestyle. Guests can enjoy a relaxing day at the spa or go horseback riding on nearby trails. Water lovers can swim, jet ski and paddleboat at the marina! Children of all ages will enjoy Arrowwood’s family-friendly Big Splash Indoor Waterpark! MLTA is planning a golf event, pontoon ride and winery tour on Thursday, August 4.

Make sure to register early to get the group rate at the hotel and to sign up for the events. The winery tour is limited to the first 50 people and the pontoon rides are limited to the first 36 people.

Annual Charity Support Initiative

MLTA regularly supports charities in the area where its convention occurs. This year's efforts will benefit two organizations:

1. Alexandria Area High School food shelf program. This program provides help to high school students and families in economic crisis. It offers food, school supplies, and personal hygiene items.
    
2. Douglas County Outreach Food Shelf (http://www.outreachfoodshelf.org/#!help/c21kz).

Cash, check, and food donations can be made at MLTA's registration desk at Arrowwood Resort and Conference Center on August 4 & 5.
