Recent Manufactured Housing Law Changes
John Nielsen, First American Title Insurance Company

In addition to revisions to existing statute about how to surrender the title, additional sections were added to address situations where the original manufactured home title has been lost or where a lien release cannot be obtained. Come hear about how the process has changed and what you need to know to address title to property with a manufactured home.

Electronic and Remote Notarization
Jennifer Parker, Notarize
Electronic and Remote Notarization: What they are, how they compare to traditional notarization, and what title agents, realtors, attorneys and others involved in recording of documents in the public record should know about them. We’ll discuss key terminology, how these new technologies actually work, safety and security, and the role they will play in everyday transactions.

Marketing 101: Where Do I Even Start?
Paul Stine, CloseSimple
Now that title & escrow companies are diving deeper into marketing, many are asking: Where do I even start? It's a foreign world for most, and a one-size fits all approach rarely works. Good marketing is grounded in three fundamental questions: 1. Who am I as a company? Who is my customer? What/where is the best place to reach them? In this breakout session, we'll dig deeper into these three questions and talk about actionable takeaways to start building the foundation for your marketing initiatives.
2:15 – 2:30 Break
2:30 – 3:30 Breakout Sessions 2

Claims
David Krco, Beisel & Dunlevy, P.A.
Title insurance claims happen. However, many claims can be avoided through diligent practice and knowing and avoiding the traps and pitfalls that can arise in the process of closing a real estate transaction. Title insurance claims regarding the execution of documents continue to arise. Improve your practice by learning about these types of claims, how they arise, how they are resolved, and how they can be avoided. Gain unique insight and perspective from exploring and discussing these issues with an experienced litigator who represents title insurers and their insureds in resolving title insurance claims.

2016 ALTA Commitment Form
John Nielsen, First American Title Insurance Company; Chris White, Fidelity National Title; Rolf Lindberg, Stewart Title; Chad Hansen, Old Republic
In 2016, the ALTA promulgated a new title commitment. Come hear about what you need to know about the changes to the form and how it will affect you and your customers. This presentation will be a panel of underwriters and will include a question and answer period.
