This exciting program will be held at the Minneapolis Convention Center, 1301 Second Avenue South in Minneapolis.   Advance registration is $65 and includes morning coffee and tea and Danish, a box lunch and an afternoon break and information that your business can’t be without!  Registration will be on a first come, first serve basis using our on-line registration process.  

The Final RESPA RULE with Laura Gipe from HUD
This program will focus on the new changes and understanding the Principles of RESPA Reform willbe important in your business in 2010 and beyond!  Laura will cover the new GFE, new HUD 1/1A and elimination of 1% cap on FHA origination fees.  GFE Notice Requirements and Triggers are other areas of concern that Laura will review.  She will also address some “frequently asked questions” that HUDreceives regularly. 

Top Takeaways with Phil Schulman, RESPA Expert
Knowing how to fill out the new GFE and HUD-1 is only half the battle.  Settlement service providers will also need to know how these new forms will affect their business practices. In addition, you’ll need to know how to respond to a rash of new questions from consumers.  This presentation from nationally known RESPA expert Phil Schulman will examine the Top Takeaways every title company, mortgage banker, mortgage brokers and real estate agent must master in order to navigate these new instruments. 

Regulation, Enforcement and a Competitive Marketplace with Paul Hanson from the Dept. of Commerce
Frauds, Scams, Kickbacks and other Schemes are things that the DOC is seeing in all different areas of the real estate transaction. Paul Hanson from the Department of Commerce will moderate a panel that will address these issues.  They will also cover some of the most “frequently asked questions” regarding Third Party Negotiators, Broker Price Opinions, Loan Modifications and many other relevant topics for title companies, mortgage bankers and brokers and real estate agents.
